Beyond The Breakwater is an online magazine dedicated to promoting coastal & bluewater fly-fishing in Southern California.

We cover Santa Barbara south into Northern Baja Mexico, with articles based on in-depth local knowledge. We cover fly-fishing tackle and techniques, boating, and provide advice on where- and when-to-go. Plus we offer other resources for visiting or beginning fly-fishermen, such as listings and advice on guides and captains, fly shops, fly-fishing clubs, accomodations and places to eat.

We also produce a sister website, Ocean Skiff Journal, that focuses on the challenges of fishing offshore in small boats.
