The mission of SurfAid International, a non-profit humanitarian organization, is to improve the health, wellbeing, and self-reliance of people living in isolated communities connected to us through surfing. 2010 marked a special milestone in our history, our 10th anniversary. It is a time to celebrate our success and give thanks to all of our supporters who have enabled our work to save and improve lives in some of the remotest areas in the world.

In the last 10 years, SurfAid: •Has distributed more than 60,000 specially treated mosquito nets and malaria education to over 300 villages.•Has expanded from malaria programs to encomphygiene, sanitation, better nutrition, healthier pregnancy and birthing, improving immunization, and clean water projects.•Has responded to four large earthquake/tsunami emergencies.•Has integrated emergency response programs in preparation for the next predicted natural disaster. •Has over 100 field staff with 95% being Indonesian.•Is encouraging global citizenship through our schools program in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
